Maintain and enforce site guidelines
A moderators main job is to make sure everyone is following the rules. We are not a very strict community but we like to keep things clean, simple, and friendly. It is up you as a mod to make sure this is an organized and peaceful place. Be sure to move threads where needed, remind members of our account rules (including name format an avatars), and nip any negativity in the bud.

Be friendly and helpful
One of the main components of this job is to be a people person. You are to not only keep the site organized and tidy, but to be a helping hand when needed. You will receive inquires from members new and old and being pleasant and willing to assist are a must. Remember that not every case merits an iron fist; deescalate a problem and remain level headed and polite. If at any time you feel a member is deliberately disrespecting staff or other members, purposefully forgoing site policies, or causing continuous disruption, you are to warn the member. Only admins will have the ability to ban members.

To fulfill your duties you should be able to log on on a consistent basis. You are not expected to be here 24/7 every day as we all have lives outside the SKC, but remember that being a part of staff means being able to participate not only with your on-site duties but off-site as well. The SKC will have semi-routine staff meetings on Slack to discuss the site and any pertinent developments.
