Here at the SKC one of our main pillars is realism. As such, we suggest that our members who are looking to actively campaign or breed for conformation become acquainted with realistic coat genetics. Having a realistic coat does not only mean making sure your dog has a coat color appropriate for their breed, but that all facets of their coat come as close to genetically possible as they can. Ever seen an awesome coat on a Dane or Aussie in real life? Well, a lot goes behind all variations and patterns you see. To make the best coat you can, first you need to understand how it came to be. The following link is an amazing resource and if even if are already good with genetics, it's an interesting read: CLICK ME!Happy Simming!
