Welcome to Haunani Kennels Thread!
Haunani Kennels is a privately owned and operated kennel specializing in the improvement of the Siberian Husky breed. We breed our dogs to meet the SKC and the SUKC breed standard and run them through thorough genetics and health tests before we even consider breeding. We do not breed our dogs for looks, we breed our dogs for health, temperment and to improve the over all breed. First and formost our dogs are beloved family members and therefor we do not over breed our dogs. We simply breed our dogs when we decide we are looking to keep one to add to our sled team or replace another after it goes into retirement. We show our dogs regularly and compete, with some, in sledding races as well as obediance and agility competitons. We love our dogs and don't view this as a business nor do we breed to make a profit. We simply love the breed and want to help to make it the best it could be. Feel free to check out our website to get to know our dogs and take a look around at some of our facilities

While on our snow trip we made sure to get some training in as well. We have our girl Laika in lead, young Laska in tow, and our boys Siku and Akai in wheel.

Another picture from our snow trip of Kaya (Haunani's Obsession) in back and Aspen (Haunani's Aspen Heights) in front. They had a blast playing in the snow and this was Kaya's first snow.

I'll just leave this here. For those of you who don't know Pasha is the resident male high content wolf hybrid Brittany adopted when he was barely a year old from a wolf rescue. He's 4 years old now. He doesn't compete or show so pretty much just lays on the porch all day, follows Brittany around everywhere she goes, or keeps the huskies in line. We love him dearly even though he acts like a grumpy old man.
