After pondering it for quite a while and thanks to dedicated and generous fellow breeders our kennel has decided to expand! A new facility is coming along, complete with three indoor show rings, an indoor agility arena, six indoor kennels, three outdoor kennels, a herding arena, a cafe, a pet shop and a fenced-in play area for the dogs attached to the cafe/bar so that owners can enjoy watching their dogs play over a cup of steaming...hot beverage! The two new breeds we will be focusing on besides the Border Collies are the Boxer and the American Bulldog. And yes, two quite distant cousins. Here's sneak peek of Bari's Things we Lost in the Fire (Rocky) and Bari's Overjoyed Oblivion (Adrian) (AB pictures coming soon) Male: Rocky Female: Adrian

UPDATE: Dogo Argentino The Dogo Argentino (known also as the Argentine Dogo or Argentine Mastiff) is large, sturdy white dog originally bred to aid in boar and livestock predator hunting. It was created by the Argentine surgeon Ernesto Nores Martinez by breeding initially the Cordoba Fighting dog (a now extinct breed) with a variety of other breeds such as the Great Dane, Boxer, Spanish Mastiff, Old English Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Great Pyrenees, Pointer, Irish Wolfhound and Dogue de Bordeaux. Aggressive traits were bred out as Martinez intended a fearless guard dog but also a devoted and loyal pet. It's only color is white with occasionally a black spot on the head that may or may not be acceptable depending on the kennel club. It is a breed often used in rescue, military and the police. When properly socialized the Dogo can be very good with children as well as other dogs and pets. It does well in average sized yards and apartments as long as it gets a daily long walk or jog. This is not a breed for the first-time dog owner Our Dogo: This little big fella was rescued from a local shelter. Apparently he was rescued from a puppy mill in the city, destined to a career of vicious and cruel dog fighting. Fortunately he was saved from such future, but the challenge for him turned to finding a new home. Because of his sheer size (68cm at the withers) and out of fear he would grow into an aggressive dog, most people turned away from this big pup. As the months went on, the shelter workers grew desperate to find him a home, and luckily our kennel got the word of his story from a friend of one of our trainer's, who happens to work there. Since Bari's Che has joined our home, he has displayed a very friendly, outgoing and loyal personality. We had no problems with him and our other dogs, and he gets specially along with our Boxer, Rocky, so he will be staying with them. We hope to register him in the SUKC (and the SKC when they open up their registrations) and compete mostly in agility and obedience trials as well as other working competitions as a way to prove his versatiliy and quality and as a way for him to enjoy himself. Here he is, Bari's Che (Vulcan)

The new facilities are finally finished! As our kennel's website is having it's final touches added and our main breeds established and under going official registration it's time for a proper reintroduction. The Bari Kennel started off with Bari Farm, home of the Border Collie breed. Images can be seen here. But as we added new dog and were in need of proper competition arenas our infrastructure has expanded. Introducing our three new facilities: Aditus Versatile ArenaMade up of assorted buildings, the Aditus Versatile Arena consists of three indoor conformation arenas, one indoor agility course, a six-dog kennel room with a whelping/puppy room, three outdoor kennels, a medium-sized racetrack, a multipurpose area for obedience/disc dog/other competitions, a cafe/bar with an attached dog park, a pet store, public bathrooms and a three-car parking space. It organizes some of the biggest and most important competitions in the nation. Dogs, owners, breeders and handlers from all over the world pass at some point through the Aditus displaying the most magnificent breeds, and hardworking dogs. Here are some snowy pics: Dale QuintaThis residential lot is located on the country side of Meadow Glen. Traditionally owned by the Dale Family the legacy has fallen under Sabina Dale's ownership and she has transformed her home into the home of the Bari Kennel's Boxers as well as a rescued Dogo Argentino. The house in itself is not very big but has a large yard that has been subdivided into a large play area for the dogs, an agility course and a disc dog arena. It also includes a master bedroom, built-in living and dining room connected to the kitchen, two full bathrooms a study and a deck.Pictures coming soon!Vulcan Rescue KennelThis lot started out as the Vulcan Rescue Kennel's headquarters (more info on that here), but since it became affiliated with Bari Kennel, VRK turned into an active program, rather than an actual facility. The physical place though, is the home of Bari's American Bulldog and the rare Australian Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dog (the latter also rescued). The house in itself contains a built-in kennel, grooming and bathing room a one-ambient living and dining room attached to the kitchen, one master bedroom, one and a half baths, as well as a large studio where a lot of the kennel's "business" takes place. Outside are a large yard, an agility course, and another square-shaped arena that can be used for obedience/disc dog.

Hello! thought i would post the latest kennel life pictures Red taking a break from sheep herding one winter morning. I think she is actually trying to see what it would be like to be a guard dog Ever since Beau joined us not very long ago he has been mostly shadowing Comet and we were worried he was too shy to interact with the other dogs. We've been introducing him gradually to the other kennel members and we are very happy and relieved that his social skills are improving. He has taken a keen liking to India, and India has reciprocated the feeling You can see the two of them checking each other out This image was taken in the wee hours of the night when Cassidy and Falcon were awakened by scuffles and barks. It turned out to be Axis, our American Bulldog and Bailey, our stumpy, going at it, goofing off and running around the house. They nearly knocked a lamp over And here we have the clowns, Rocky and Adrian. This was after an agility training session with Adrian. Clearly she is the lazy duck here
