Meet Paso Libre's Macallan von Mendi, also known as Atlas! He is the newest addition to our kennel and the first Rottweiler here at Bari. He arrived last night and we are very glad to say that he is adapting incredibly well at the Verum Hinnitum farm, an equestrian center in partnership with Bari Kennel, already getting along with the horses and cattle there. Danny Berkley, our own Falcon Berkley's brother, has ensured his first day is as pleasant and fun as can be, avoiding all the stressful bits that come for the pup in a new and unknown environment. You can visit his profile here. First day in his new home. Of course, the food bowl was the first thing that drew his attention A biiiig cushion to grow into... Tug-of-war with Danny And a good petting session afterwards Taking a stroll in the evening First meeting with a horse. Gotta give it to the pup, the size difference did not intimidate him at all!

Today we have two very important and happy updates! The first: Last night, Bari Kennel received with open arms our new Airedale Terrier-Schnauzer mix, Myr! She is six months old and comes from the Skansen Kennel (fictional here, although it exists in real life). She was part of an unplanned litter (oops!) between Ch. Skansen's Hopkins (Sire, Giant Schnauzer) and Am. Ch. Joval Angel's Kiss (Dam, Airedale terrier). Since she is a crossbreed we don't expect to show her, even though she is gorgeous and takes the best attributes from both parents, and since she is a non-stop tornado jumping and barking everywhere, you'll be seeing plenty of her around in agility competitions and other working trials! Meet Myr, officially known as Bari's Moor Your Relic Second and most important update! The "flower" litter is finally here! Very early this morning our own Red began birth labor in our whelping room. The whelping box didn't seem to satisfy her despite our staff's best efforts to keep her calm and warm inside. After a few hours of lying, turning, sitting, lying, walking, sitting, lying again on the floor a tiny head began to show through. Firstborn male and of the litter was Foxglove, followed half an hour later by the liver Bluebell. An hour passed before Calla's back end began to show. Uh-oh! Luckily Buho Hawke was closely paying attention and Red trusting enough to let him help. Another half-hour went by an the second-born male, Tansy, joined his siblings outside the womb. Overall it was a very smooth birthing and fortunately no vet assistance was needed. All pups are in sound conditions, sleeping warmly, this time in the whelping box. Below a family picture right after Red's Labor. You can visit the litter page here

Decided to update this as the our kennel has gone through a whoooole lot of changes. Many of you may be aware but just in case, all our Working breeds, like the Boxers, Dogo Argentino and Rottweiler have all been moved to the Lycabettus Kennel. While our herding type dogs remain here, in essence a border collie kennel Here we go. We have renovated and moved our facility to Oakshore Meadows! With our dogs living basically in the house with the Hawke brothers, the kennel area seemed a bit pointless. In it's place we have enlarged our agility arena and made an outdoor conformation ring and an additional multi-purpose ring. The puppy and whelping room was equipped with a small kitchen and grooming stations! The renovation is not all done yet as some minor finishing touches are to be added.
