Thank you Riverrun Kennel ! Out with the truth. I don't have a favorite breed. This changes from year to year, or less. I have a huuuge interest in a LOT of them. I enjoy reading about a breed's history, it's form and function and sometimes the standard as well. I can't deny I have pictured myself owning one of each in different periods of my imagined future. Kind of unlikely, but who knows? What I do know is that I want to have a small farm. Border Collies are great farm workers and the most intelligent breed. I love them a lot because I used to have one. I love working breeds, and I know I will have one too...I don't know if maybe one day I'll own a Dogo, or a Rottie, or some Mastiff, or even another Boxer. Having so many interests in so many breeds has really been hard on settling down with the my kennels and their visions. And if I could, here and on TS3 I would own at least on of a huge number of breeds. The problem is I want to be active with all. And that's Impossible. It's already hard enough and takes long enough to take four decent images of each dog (that's eleven dogs at Lycabettus and now nine dogs at Baires) and edit each dog four times...80 images. With my life as a college student and assistant at an animal clinic, a lot of my time is taken away with classes, studying and work. Needless to say I have put off doing my favorite sport because of this. But I found a new activity that it may not be the best as I don't let out some stuff physically and mentally as I used to, but it is an activity and hobby nonetheless. And it is this, being able to own and handle a kennel, interact with so many other people, see other people's amazing work, make friends along the way and find inspiration for my own kennel. Even if it's virtual. My kennels mean a lot to me. And adding new dogs and breeds feels like a huge responsibility because the reason I do so is to be active, to show him off, to pretend I have a potential champion, whether it was produced by me or another talented member. And finding the drive for my kennels had been a challenge, "trying" new dogs and breeds. And after six months (since I joined the TS3 dog kennel and showing world) I think I may have found not only a breed I am passionate about, but also the means and resources to make them and show them to their full potential. i share this because it simply means a lot to have found something I was looking but didn't realize I had been searching for. If I ever own and manage a real life kennel, despite going through a number of breeds in my head, I think my mind and heart will always go back to Borzoi. It may not be very apparent, but that's not the point. So after this eternal "essay" I introduce the new focus for Baires. I hope I can grow with this, as a kennel and as a way to work on and for something. So here are the newest foundations. Baires Tiolase, "Tio" (I'm just such a freaking freak I named this red boy after an enzime) and Baires Déjà Vu, "Déjà". Hope you guys like them

Déjà. <3 I'm glad you found that one breed. That's basically the GSD for me. There are times I've wanted to just quite them because they're such a popular breed. But then I wouldn't be me if I didn't breed German Shepherds. :3

Carnage, The Falles and Snowy SnowFalls thank you all so much. Pixelpfote more are to come! Delta Kennel it's great you decided to keep loyal to GSD despite their popularity. They are really beautiful dogs. It's such a relief and inspiration to have found "my breed" Here's the Borzoi gang from left to right: Lucero, Déjà, Tio, and Yerba, with handler Celeste Bianchi
