Hello! Ok, so the title of this thread reminded me of a game i used to play when i was little. many of you may know it but with a different name (it's fairly common). as kids we would line up on one side of an open area with one person in the middle, that being the "bulldog". And whenever he (or she) said "bulldog bulldog bulldog",the rest would have to run past the bulldog to the other said without getting caught. The tagged passers would join the bulldog and it would get harder and harder to run through the other side. Usually the one or two remaining kids that hadn't been caught were the winners. Getting to the point now...I am very curious to see any bulldog. Haven't seen any kennel so far that breeds them (or maybe I'm a bit in the clouds and haven't noticed) and I really want to your dogs! Both American and English Bullies

I had an American Bulldog of the Scott type. But then my activity started going down and I just couldn't show her like I wanted to. And I didn't really want to retire her either. So I sold her. She now resides at this kennel, who also breeds bulldogs. She's also extremely leggy, but oh well. x]

Love that girl! lol, Delta, next to my dogs, she makes them look sooo scrawny xP I'm the Bulldog Person so far, I have yet to properly introduce myself since I'm pretty sure my kennel name is going to change. It's not too hard to make them really, even the English. I think there's even a template somewhere for an English buldog. I personally prefer dogs who can breath and have something of a nose so I'll always prefer Scott or Hybrid type American Bulldogs over the current English bulldogs

She is stocky, isn't she? x] There is also an American Bulldog template out there somewhere. Needs heavy tweaking, but it's always a start.

I think that with the passing of time many dog breeds, especially the brachicefalic type have devolved. Poor things can't even move properly without the risk of getting their airways blocked :S I'me very bad at making dogs in CAP, so I guess that since I had a hard time making a Border Collie, a Bulldog was way beyond my reach hahaha. Very nice dogs. I'll see if I can find that template just to know what it looks like. I'm thinking of adding another breed to my kennel (a short-haired one since I'm having a hard time editing long fur breeds), although i'm not sure which one. I love big stocky breeds like the bulldog and argentine dogo, but I have a soft spot for greyhounds too hahaha

My very first dog was an English Bulldog so I adore Bulldogs by nature but these past twenty years have been harsh on the evolution of brachyphilic breeds like them since the standards forgot to say how shrt is too short. It's pretty sad since I loved how active Bulldogs were when I grew up- mine even loved swimming. If your interested in adding an American Bulldog though, I'd be happy to either help you out with creating a template or making you one it'd be nice to see more around

My first dog was an english bulldog too! He was so lazy and snored so much my uncle ended up sleeping in his car. We were in a flat so the dog, Athos, was sleeping basically everywhere. xD Oh man how I miss that little fatty. <3 He died 3, almost 4 years ago, in June. Delta's american bulldog is amazing! Love her facial expression. ^^ You can't deny when I say she makes stunning dogs.

XD she snored too but I used to sleep where ever she did so apparently it didn't bother me one bit. All my Bulldogs were pretty active, I have tons of photos of them swimming, swinging on rope tugs tied to trees, playing yug and fetching balls so maybe something was wrong with them lol Gotta love those dogs though NObody can deny Delta makes gorgeous dogs lol I actually have about a million photos just of Skandal's face I'll have to share sometime <3

I'd love to add a bulldog. I've never had one but I have some friends that do and they are simply adorable! I dont' know where I got the passion from though hahaha. I guess I'm passionate about many breeds. I have a dog breed encyclopedia, and sometimes when I got home for lunch I would sit and read a random breed's profile just for fun. It's sad because for the bulldog it advised not to make them run, jog, jump, swim too much :S There was actually a documentary I saw on youtube one or two years back about how some breeds had so many problems because they had bred them so out of proportion that their craneal cavity was too small for their brains. So sad

He died at the age of 7 which was an old age for that breed. I wasn't able to spend his last days with him because I wasn't in the state back then. He was a typical bulldog tho, lazy and basically running back home whenever I would try to walk him. xD But I do want to own another bulldog, a female. Me and my mom might buy one when we finish renovating our house and yard. I'll try show you the picture of me and him when I was a little kid. I adore that picture. <3

@ Delta Kennel Her face is just love <3 I'll have to post them sometime then @ Lutador Oh, good, I would've been so sad if that's all they lived to now. The bitches tend to be more active since they're a bit lighter, Piggy loved romping. There's also a "new" breed that's pretty much an English Bulldog with its standard revised to focus on health that you might be more interested in? Either way, bulldogs are pretty good dogs in my opinion. You should definitely post that photo! I could dig up one I have of Crash "dancing" with his rope lol @ Bari Of course! I'm already starting to wonder how on earth I'm going to be able to show more ABs when I now have seven Rottweilers xD I own a couple breed encyclopedias as well, they're a lot of fun to look through We never made our bulldogs do any of that stuff, they just did it because that's what they wanted to do. I don't think we even owned a leash for any of them xD Some bulldogs can't physically swim though, that's how Max died (Piggy pushed him), their shoulders are just too wide and bodies too dense to keep afloat. The cranial cavity isn't a problem with the bulldogs because their heads are massive, but rather Rough Collies, Borzois, and sometimes Caliver King Charles Spaniels, which is why they aren't very smart dogs anymore. It can also cause seizures and obsessive compulsion problems with dogs that suffer from it as well. It's always sad when breeders lose sight of what's good for the dogs.

You mean the Olde English Bulldogge? I saw them, they look much slimmer and healthier, I'm not quite sure if there are any breeders who breed those in Croatia, but I'll definitely take a look.

Zeuwi yes, they specifically talked about the cav king charles as the main example for that! it's good they've revised the standards to take that into account. one hundred years ago, english bulldogs looked a lot more like american bulldogs today. sorry to hear about Max :S but it's great they were naturally active. i'll PM you about that american bulldog if the offer still stands
